Our top 5 restaurants to visit in Newcastle this Summer

Newcastle is a lively and hearty city and has so much to offer. They have an amazing and delicious range of restaurants for you to try and critique. 

You may have your favourite restaurants in the city centre already but why not let us recommend some of our favourites to take a bite at this Summer: 

 

1. Francesca’s 

Francesca’s is located in Jesmond which is known to be the student heavy populated area of Newcastle. However, this restaurant is like no other. Have you ever craved pasta and pizza and been stuck not knowing which one you fancy? Francesca’s offers you the chance to have half and half of your favourite pasta and pizza. There’s no more choosing at this restaurant, you can have it all. We’ve defiantly not seen another restaurant as creative, organic, or as classic as this Italian. 


We recommend for: a great meal to have before a night out with friends.

2. Marco Polo

Marco Polo is an incredible Italian restaurant with a modern vibe inside. Its LED lights and signs brighten up the place giving it a new but still classy feel. The taste of the cuisine is like no other with a large variety of options for both food and drink. They offer anything from pizza, meat & fish to risotto and your classic beers, cider, and wine to the most incredible cocktails.


We recommend for: dinner with the family.

3. Silk room restaurant 

Silk room restaurant is an elegant place to eat with glistening chandeliers and silky-smooth drapes giving it an eloquent feel consisting of international cuisine. Serving champagne and cocktails this restaurant really has it all. Maybe a little more on the pricy side however for a treat you can’t go wrong with their fillet steak or wagyu burger cooked to perfection. 


We recommend for: celebratory dinner with your partner.

4. Pizza Punks 

Pizza Punks is perfect for a quick family bite to eat. Its eye-catching interior makes it enjoyable for all ages. They offer what feels like hundreds of toppings for your pizza and the freshest pasta made every day from the kitchen. If you are a picky eater don’t worry, you can create your own dishes with as many toppings as you want with no extra costs or hidden charges. This is Pizza Punks! 


We recommend for: families wanting a nice dinner out any day of the week.

5. House of tides 

If you fancy a little bit of the Newcastle classics, why not visit their very own Michelin Star restaurant located right by the river at Quayside. They offer a light filled dining room with classic and rustic exposed beans. This gourmet British restaurant offers tasting menus guaranteeing you won’t leave feeling hungry.
